Dr Moeller graduated from San Jose State University with Great Distinction and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science. He then attended Dental School at the University of California San Francisco and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Immediately following graduation he joined the. US Army Dental Corps where he later completed a Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. During his Residency he was involved in Bone Healing Research at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Dental Research. While serving as Chief of Oral Surgery at Ft Eustis Virginia he completed a graduate degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular Biology. Immediately following his retirement as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Martin Army Hospital Fort Benning ,Georgia Dr Moeller entered the University of Alabama Medical School and obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree which was followed by a Transitional Medical Residency at the Columbus Medical Center . After completing that he then briefly served as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Augusta University. After retiring from his Practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Columbus Georgia he continued his career as a Neuroscience Researcher in the area of PTSD comorbid sleep disruption.He has published several papers on the topic of intraoral prosthesis based neuromodulaton of the Trigeminal Cervical Nucleus to attenuate PTSD comorbid sleep disorders. He has also presented his research at numerous Medical Conferences as peer reviewed Poster Presentations. He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
